Story

Congratulations to Anirudh for designing “Harry Potter’s Wizarding World
&
being part of the upcoming

MoonBattle Conference 2024 in Milpitas, Silicon Valley

A robotic Harry Potter-inspired wand that quite literally puts magic in the palm of your hands! By merging robotics and sensor technology we will create a wand that can cast custom spells. Light up gems, make objects produce sounds, or even predict the future with a twist of your wrist and a dash of imagination. This smart wand is more than just tech magic; it’s an enchanting experience that transports you to the magical world of Harry Potter.

This enchanting project aims to bring a magical atmosphere to life using a uniquely designed staff and three interactive items – an LED light, an LCD screen, and a buzzer. The staff, designed with a protruding light on its top, when directed at one of the three items, stimulates a different effect. Join us on this mysterious journey where we fuse advanced technology with a whimsical concept, creating an experience that merges the fantasy and reality. Experience enchantment in each interaction, crafting a captivating immersion that would rival any magical realm.

Tools used

I’m using an LED, buzzer, LCD, LDR along with arduino.

Working demonstration

On pressing a switch on the staff and uttering a specific ‘spell’, the magic begins. The staff sends out a beam of light towards the item, turning it on. Each item corresponds to a different spell. “Lumos” for the LED, “Sonorus” for the buzzer, and “Futurum” for the LCD screen. Each item is designed with a light detector sensor that interprets the incoming signals. On receiving the signal from the staff, the LED light flickers on, the buzzer sounds its melodic beep, and the LCD screen prints out a ‘predictive’ message that pictures your conceivable future.

Story

  • Merge the world of magic with robotics.
  • To show case that robotics is fun.
  • To demonstrate that magic is nothing but science.
