East High School is moving forward with a big project to add more than 400 seats and modernize classroom spaces after getting approval for a $35.9 million plan. The school's speech and debate program reached a new level when Andrew Schulz won the national championship in Expository Speaking at the 2025 national tournament. The athletic department also keeps up its winning streak. The boys' indoor track team recently won a team title, and several students won individual awards in cross-country and basketball.
