The secondary education system of Ohio has over 900 schools providing educational services to students statewide. There is a high level of accountability and postsecondary readiness across the entire system. Over 90 percent of districts are projected to meet or exceed the expectations of the state, and the graduation rate will reach 88.3 percent, the highest in the past 10 years. With a focus on outcomes beyond graduation through the expansion of dual-credit opportunities, industry credentialing, and the implementation of a new Science of Reading requirement, the High school system of Ohio is committed to improving student success.
