The high school system in Missouri has well over 879,000 students enrolled in approximately 725 high schools, with 465 separate districts providing education. Of the approximately 879,000 students, 92% attend a fully accredited school where students are either meeting or exceeding state expectations. The graduation rates for all high schools are also on the rise as demonstrated by the 92.7% rate for the 2025 graduating class. In addition to rising graduation rates, the Missouri Assessment Program (MAP) has demonstrated gains in academic performance.
