Manor Rise Academy entered 2025-26 with Founding Principal Eddwina Flowers continuing her leadership of the campus. The school participated in Manor ISD's community information sessions around the district's proposed $385 million bond, which included provisions for school safety upgrades and technology improvements across all campuses. Manor ISD also received its seventh consecutive District of Distinction award from the Texas Art Education Association in 2025, a recognition that runs district-wide and includes Manor Rise Academy's campus programs.
Q1. Why does Manor Rise Academy serve K-8 instead of just elementary grades?
Ans. Manor Rise Academy is the only K-8 campus in Manor ISD. Students who enroll in kindergarten stay at the same school through 8th grade, avoiding the typical transition to a separate middle school building. For families who value that continuity, it's one of the school's most distinctive features.
Q2. How does enrollment at Manor Rise Academy work?
Ans. Manor Rise Academy follows Manor ISD's standard attendance zone boundaries. Starting in the 2024-25 school year, Pre-K students from the ShadowGlen zone also attend Manor Rise Academy.
Q3. Does Manor Rise Academy have a GATE program?
Ans. Yes. Manor Rise Academy offers a Gifted and Talented program through Manor ISD. Speak with your child's classroom teacher about the referral process, which follows the district's standard evaluation timeline and opens each fall semester.
Q4. What after-school programs does Manor Rise Academy offer?
Ans. Manor Rise Academy participates in Manor ISD's after-school extended learning programs, including the after-school care expansion that launched across all MISD campuses for 2025-26.
Q5. What happens when students finish 8th grade at Manor Rise Academy?
Ans. Students completing 8th grade at Manor Rise Academy move on to one of Manor ISD's high school campuses. Manor ISD operates Manor High School, Manor New Technology High School, and Manor Early College High School, each offering a different academic track. Starting the high school research process in 7th grade gives families more time to weigh the options.
