The city of Manor has seen an enormous amount of change in the last ten years. The city has been able to meet the needs of families relocating in search of an affordable housing location close to work, while still being able to live in the proximity of Austin. Located approximately 12 miles east of Austin's city limits, Manor has seen an influx of new residential developments, such as Presidential Meadows and ShadowGlen. The School District operates approximately eight elementary schools; 3 middle schools, one K-8 campus, and 3 high schools, essentially all of which are located within 15 schools/campuses. The district currently serves approximately 10,000 students. The average sales price of a home in Manor is approximately $350,000, which is below the median home price for the city of Austin.
