Dentzler Elementary School

Nestled in the vibrant suburb of Parma, Ohio, Dentzler Elementary School at 3600 Dentzler Rd has been educating young minds for decades. With a K-4 enrollment of 456 students, Dentzler Elementary is a public elementary school that embraces students and nurtures academic success, community spirit, and belonging. Dentzler Elementary has 24 full-time certified teachers (19:1 student-teacher ratio), and has a diverse student body comprising 49% female, 51% male, and 34% minority. Students perform strongly with 72% math proficiency and 67% reading proficiency, making it a top school in the state. About 51% of students experienced economic hardship; however, it is important to the school that students embrace equity and growth so that each child can flourish. Ranked #2 in Parma City, Dentzler is proud to be one of the best elementary schools in Ohio, fostering achievement, inclusion, and willing learners.

Eighty 4th-graders from Dentzler Elementary were able to tour Parma City Hall, where they experienced local government in action. The visit was particularly special as the students were escorted by Kevin Kussmaul, a former Dentzler Elementary student and the current Parma City Councilman.
