Mount Vernon provides elementary school education to a diverse urban community of about 70,000 residents in Westchester County, just north of New York City, and is known for its rich cultural heritage and convenient blend of suburban and urban living. Most students attend public schools in the Mount Vernon City School District, which has several elementary school campuses.
Schools focus on core academics, early literacy and math development, and support for multilingual learners in recognition of the city’s highly diverse population.
