International Charter School of Trenton is a public charter school that serves 109 students in K–5 and was founded in 1998, with the goal of fostering creativity, critical thinking, and social-emotional development while laying solid academic foundations. Math, science, language arts, social studies, art, music, physical education, and Mandarin and Spanish language courses are all part of ICST's comprehensive curriculum. The school has 9 full-time teachers assisting in the classroom, and the student-teacher ratio is 12:1, which is comparable to the district average. In terms of academic performance, 15% of pupils achieved reading and math scores at or above the proficient level. The student body at the school is 93% economically disadvantaged, 100% minority, and 45% female and 55% male.
