About Montpelier High School

Montpelier High School is one of the best schools in Vermont. It is also the only high school in the Montpelier Roxbury Unified Union School District. The school has about 345 students in grades 9–12 and a student-to-teacher ratio of about 10:1, which makes for a very personalized learning environment. It is known as a top school and has a 45% AP participation rate, which means it offers a lot of Advanced Placement courses. Montpelier High School has published its new Program of Studies for 2026–2027. It includes a new set of courses that will improve the school's well-known Flexible Pathways and Community Based Learning programs. The school is getting ready for its spring academic session, which will include special hands-on projects and the ongoing "Solon Salutes" celebrations that honor the achievements of each student. The district is also working on long-term plans for its facilities to make sure that the high school campus continues to have modern, innovative spaces that support the "Portrait of a Graduate" vision.
