Scotland Park Elementary recently became part of a new district reading initiative after a book vending machine was installed on campus that allows students to earn books for positive behavior and leadership. The machine, funded through community support and district resources, gives students tokens they can exchange for books they choose themselves. Wichita Falls ISD plans to expand similar vending machines to other elementary campuses following positive reactions from students and staff at Scotland Park.
