Watauga, Texas, is a suburban community of about 25,000 people in the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex. It is known for being family-friendly and having easy access to city amenities. Most students go to public schools in the Keller Independent School District (Keller ISD) and the Birdville Independent School District (BISD). Schools focus on core subjects, early literacy and math skills, STEM integration, and fine arts programs, all while serving a wide range of students. The Texas Education Agency has given several campuses awards and recognition for their academic performance. Watauga is a great place for families to send their kids to elementary school because the community is very involved, the neighborhoods are safe, and there are plenty of good extracurricular activities available.
