Lake Air Montessori is still the best school in the district because it is the only certified AVID Elementary campus. It focuses on preparing students for college and careers from a young age. Recent performance data show that Lake Air students are doing better than the district average in both math and reading. As a Professional Development School, it continues to work with Baylor University to train the next generation of Montessori teachers in a way that has a big effect.

Ans. This is a public magnet school that uses the Montessori method and does not charge extra for it to people who live in the district.
Q2. What is the layout of the classrooms at Lake Air Montessori School?
Ans. Students can stay with the same teacher for three years of development by being in multi-age groups in the classroom.
Q3. Does Lake Air Montessori School use the usual ways to grade students?
Ans. The school meets state standards, but it focuses on narrative progress reports and portfolio assessments to help students grow.
Q4. What does the "Lead Teacher" do at Lake Air Montessori School?
Ans. Lead teachers are trained in the Montessori philosophy to help students learn on their own and through hands-on activities every day.
Q5. Does Lake Air Montessori School have classes for middle school students?
Ans. The campus offers students a continuous path of learning from Pre-K to eighth grade.
