Washington Elementary participated in Dr. Hicks Literacy Day, where volunteers visited schools to read aloud to students during Read Across America Week. This highlights the school’s emphasis on: Encouraging reading habits, Building literacy skills and Community involvement in education. Families were encouraged to register students for Sherman ISD Summer Enrichment Camps, giving elementary students access to continued learning and activities beyond the school year. 03These programs help: Reinforce academic growth, Keep students engaged during breaks and Promote skill development outside the classroom.

Ans. Teachers make lessons that are interesting and make students want to ask questions and think about new things.
