Fairview’s annual Kids for Hearts / Jump Rope fundraiser continues to be a huge success. The school has raised over $350,000 for heart disease awareness and research since 1999, including about $9,000 this year alone. Fairview was recognized as one of the best fundraising schools in Texas for this cause. The school recently hosted Dr. Hicks Literacy Day, where volunteers came in to read aloud to students during Read Across America Week. This highlights Fairview’s focus on: Promoting literacy, Encouraging reading habits and Building community involvement.
