Being Updated
To honor the creativity of its students, Woodstone Elementary recently held the Read Across America Bookmark Contest. Earlier this month, the winners from each grade level were named. Students made their own bookmarks to show how interested they were in reading and what they thought. Professionals are now printing the chosen designs and sending them to all the schools so that students can see how their work is being used. These kinds of things make reading more fun and let students say what they want in a different way.
