Being Updated
Students at Leon Valley Elementary are getting ready for the district Solar Car Races. Fourth and fifth-graders will be the school's representatives. For the past few weeks, students have been working together to plan and build their own solar-powered cars. They've been testing their models, making small changes, and learning how things work by doing them. The activity has helped them learn things in a way that is more useful and also made them better at working together. Students are looking forward to showing off their work and seeing how their projects do at the event. It also shows how the school encourages students to learn by doing and gives them chances to do things that matter outside of school.
