The campus recycling program at Benjamin Franklin Elementary School had a big success recently when they collected 800 bags as part of a challenge to recycle plastic bags. Families, students, and staff all worked together on the project. The activity taught students about being responsible for the environment in a way that was fun and useful. Many students helped by bringing in things that could be recycled and adding to the collection drive. Teachers supported the project and helped the students at every stage. The school is working to raise awareness and encourage good habits among students, and this is a sign of that.
