Recently, Bellaire Elementary held a "Books & Badges" event to honor a third-grade class for having the best attendance in their grade level. A local police officer led a special reading session for the students, and they got to take home a free book. The event got students to come and made them love reading. This program is part of the school's efforts to encourage good habits and make learning fun and rewarding for kids.
