Davis Elementary holds the distinction of being the only school in Royse City ISD history to earn a National Blue Ribbon School designation from the U.S. Department of Education — a recognition given to fewer than 30 schools across Texas in the cycle it was named. The school recently held its annual Book Fair with a family evening session and a morning coffee-and-donuts event for parents, both of which drew strong community turnout. Kindergarten Roundup is coming up for incoming families, offering a come-and-go evening at the campus. Davis is also recognized by Capturing Kids' Hearts as a national showcase school, one of two RCISD campuses to hold this distinction.
