The student council at Anita Scott Elementary visited a nearby nursing home during the winter holiday break, delivering handmade cards and singing carols for residents — a community tradition the school has made part of its seasonal calendar. Around the same time, the campus organized Thanksgiving dinner kits for 30 local families in need. Anita Scott teams also swept multiple top spots in a statewide Stock Market Game competition, with five student groups from the school placing in the upper tier. The campus continues to hold its Capturing Kids' Hearts National Showcase recognition, a status tied to the school's daily practice of personally greeting every student at the start of each school day.
