Celia Hays Elementary School's fourth and fifth graders had a remarkable showing in March 2026. They clinched the top spot in the annual Rockwall ISD Battle of the Books tournament, beating out every other elementary school in the district. The Hays Huskies also saw individual success in January 2026 when fourth grader Hayes Holcombe won the campus-level Spelling Bee and advanced to round four at the Rockwall County Bee. The Robotics Team continued its award-winning streak through the 2025-26 year, per the school's official news page. The 2025-26 Teacher of the Year award went to Mrs. Kim Williams, a recognition of her commitment and the positive influence she had throughout the school.
