North Ridge Elementary was among the 13 Birdville ISD campuses recognized in the 2025-26 school rankings announcement, earning a formal board acknowledgment alongside peers like Green Valley and Walker Creek. The school also benefits from BISD's 2025 "A" rating for financial accountability, which underpins the district's ability to maintain its staffing and curriculum standards across all campuses. North Ridge's 14:1 ratio, the best of the eight schools in this group, reflects a consistent BISD investment in keeping this campus well-staffed. The district's 2025 bond election, focused on security and learning space improvements, will include physical improvements to elementary campuses across BISD's North Richland Hills footprint.

FAQ

Q1. Does North Ridge Elementary have a GATE program?

Ans. North Ridge Elementary runs a Gifted and Talented program through Birdville ISD. Fourth graders are nominated for the district's Lone Star Leadership Academy each year as part of that program. If you haven't already spoken to your child's teacher about eligibility, the start of the fall semester is the best time to raise it.

Q2. What makes North Ridge Elementary's student-teacher ratio stand out?

Ans. North Ridge Elementary's 14:1 student-teacher ratio is better than the Birdville ISD district average of 15:1 and the Texas state average. For families who care about how much individual attention students get in class, that one-point difference translates to a real gap in daily access to teacher support across a full school year.

Q3. What extracurricular and enrichment programs does North Ridge offer?

Ans. North Ridge Elementary students have access to music, art, and PE as part of BISD's standard elementary program. The school also participates in district-wide STEM events and enrichment activities across the school year.

Q4. How do families register for North Ridge Elementary?

Ans. Enrollment at North Ridge Elementary is handled through Birdville ISD. New student online registration is available through the BISD Family Access website.

Q5. What school do North Ridge students attend after 5th grade?

Ans. North Ridge Elementary feeds into North Ridge Middle School, which is located on Douglas Lane less than a mile from the elementary campus. Students then continue to Richland High School.
