Holiday Heights Elementary made district-level news in 2025 when fourth grader Oliver Gibbs was named a National Math Star, one of the most competitive student math recognitions in the country. The Birdville ISD Board formally honored him at a 2025 board meeting, with Holiday Heights named specifically as his home campus. The school also appeared on the BISD 2025-26 school rankings recognition list alongside 12 other district campuses.
