Being Updated
Veramendi Elementary is now going through a transition into a new stage to go along with larger district growth in New Braunfels area. Updates to the school include changes made to adjust to enrollment changes that occurred after the district was rezoned. These changes will help create a more even and focused learning environment for some students. In addition, New Braunfels ISD has created new boundaries and is adding onto its campuses in order to promote long-term growth in the future; one of the schools hosting community meetings regarding these changes was at Veramendi Elementary School.
Q1. Is there a library or media center at Veramendi Elementary?
Ans. Yes, the school has a library where students can go to read books, take part in reading programs, and learn how to do research as part of their regular schedule.
Q2. Do students have access to any technology?
Ans. Students have access to digital learning tools that are built into their daily lessons, as well as computers and tablets in the classroom.
Q3. What safety steps has the school taken?
Ans. The campus follows the district's safety rules, which include controlled entry points, visitor check-in systems, and regular safety drills to keep everyone safe.
Q4. Does the school offer services for special education?
Ans. Yes, Veramendi Elementary has special education programs and support services that are made to fit the needs of each student.
Q5. How do you test students all year?
Ans. Teachers use classroom tests, quizzes, and tools for keeping track of students' progress in addition to state tests.
