The development of Oak Creek Elementary is another demonstration of Comal ISD's growth and its commitment to education, as the district has begun construction on a new elementary campus to accommodate increased enrollment in New Braunfels, thereby alleviating overcrowding at the nearby schools located close to Oak Creek, and providing better classroom space. This is part of the larger initiative for the district to continue modernizing its facilities while also preserving the existing momentum within all of the schools.
Q1. When does the school day at Oak Creek Elementary begin and end?
Ans. The school day usually starts at 7:35 a.m. and ends at 3:10 p.m. On certain days, students are let out early.
Q2. Is there a cafeteria and meal program at Oak Creek Elementary?
Ans. Yes, the district's child nutrition program provides breakfast and lunch at the school. There are options for kids with different dietary needs.
Q3. Can parents help out at school?
Ans. Parents can get involved by going to school events, volunteering, and joining the PTA. These things happen all the time during the school year.
Q4. What kinds of help can students get?
Ans. The campus has a school nurse, counseling services, and academic intervention programs to help students with health and other issues.
Q5. How does the school tell families about big changes?
Ans. Emails, school newsletters, the official website, and district communication platforms are all used to keep families up to date.
