Students from Emerson Elementary School took part in the 39th Annual Midland Reporter-Telegram Regional Spelling Bee, joining peers from across Midland in late February. Israel Luna represented Emerson as one of about 17 local competitors who tested their spelling skills at Midland College, with participants ranging from third through eighth grade. The event drew attention from families and educators and offered students a chance to advance toward the Scripps National Spelling Bee.
