Being Updated
Recent news from Porter Elementary School in Mesquite, Texas, has sparked community discussion about changes that have been made. The school was part of a bigger change in the Mesquite ISD from PTA to PTO models. The goal was to make things more flexible and get more parents involved without charging membership fees. Simultaneously, the campus continues to connect with families. They're doing this through district-wide back-to-school events and student-centric programs for the upcoming 2025–2026 school year.
