Block House Creek Elementary brought an unusually deep teaching staff into 2025-26, with multiple educators carrying more than 20 years of classroom experience at a campus that serves fewer than 500 students. LISD conducted a district-wide long-range planning process in 2025 that reviewed enrollment and facility needs across all 29 elementary campuses, and Block House Creek's long-standing community ties were part of those discussions. The school's Gifted and Talented students continue to participate in LISD's district-wide academic competitions each school year.
