Santa Maria Elementary continues to participate in Laredo ISD's Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program, which delivers fresh produce to students during the school day at no cost throughout the semester. The school also took part in LISD's 2026-27 New Student Registration Kickoff held in March 2026, a district-wide event designed to bring new families into the enrollment process before the school year begins. LISD's bilingual parent workshops, run through the Parent and Family Engagement Department, continued offering programming for Santa Maria families in the spring semester.
