Freedom Elementary School's Mighty Bees opened the 2025-26 year under United ISD's latest teacher recognition initiative, which saw 181 teachers across the district receive new or higher Teacher Incentive Allotment designations in August 2025. The UISD Open Enrollment window for 2026-27 opened February 2, 2026, giving families outside Freedom's attendance zone a formal opportunity to apply for a spot on campus. UISD continues to hold its six-consecutive "A" rating from the Texas Education Agency, a benchmark that applies to Freedom's academic program and all UISD campuses equally.
