Amparo Gutierrez Elementary School's Gators opened the 2025-26 year with its basketball team claiming a championship at the 3rd-grade UISD level — a win that the school's social media celebrated with "We Are the Champions!" The campus also participated in the school-wide Math Bee competition, with Gutierrez students placing in multiple grade categories. Under United ISD's 6-consecutive-A-rating record, the campus continues its bilingual-forward programming and community engagement. Career Day, an annual event that saw strong student participation in 2024, is expected to return again this spring.
