Pleasant Run Elementary School held a special “Nacho Party” in order to honor pre-k through second-grade teachers for their amazing achievements in developing children’s skills in reading and mathematics. Students have been working on their science projects that they will show at Independent Learning Day.
Q1. For how long has Pleasant Run Elementary served the Lancaster community?
Ans. Pleasant Run Elementary has been in existence ever since 1955 when it became part of Lancaster ISD, thus, one of the oldest schools in the district.
Q2. Does Pleasant Run Elementary require students to wear uniforms?
Ans. Yes, as with all the campuses of Lancaster ISD, students of Pleasant Run Elementary are required to wear uniforms with the approved polo shirts of red, white, and blue colors.
Q3. Are there any Gifted and Talented programs in Pleasant Run Elementary?
Ans. Students at Pleasant Run Elementary have access to the services provided by the Gifted and Talented program offered by the Lancaster ISD.
Q4. Is there any college savings program for the students of Pleasant Run Elementary?
Ans. As per the partnership that Lancaster ISD has with the United Way of Metropolitan Dallas, all PK-5 students get a my529 college savings account with $50 initial deposit.
Q5. What is the emphasis on STEM in Pleasant Run Elementary within Lancaster ISD?
Ans. Pleasant Run Elementary being a campus of Texas' first K-12 STEM district, the program focuses on introducing the elementary learners to the field of STEM.
