Young Elementary is celebrating its role in the district's historic academic turnaround, which made sure that all students could go to a safe and caring school with an A or B rating. The school just had its annual "Reading with the Pros" event, where professional athletes told their own stories and told kids to read. The campus is also still working hard to get parents involved through its new digital communication and feedback portals.
