Being Updated
Youens Elementary is happy about the most recent academic growth data, which shows that students' reading skills have gotten a lot better for the 2025–2026 school year. Recently, the school community took part in a "Career Expo" that was held across the district. It connected students with local professionals and possible future jobs. The school has also started a new program to help kids become better people and make the school a nicer and more respectful place for everyone.
Q1. How does Youens El's "Career Expo" help students connect what they learn in class to their future jobs?
Ans. Professionals from the area come to our campus to talk about their daily work, which helps students see how their studies are useful in the real world.
Q2. Does Youens El have any special programs to help students become better people and make the school a more respectful place?
Ans. Our "Gator Values" program gives students rewards for being kind and respectful, which helps us all make the campus a better place to be.
Q3. What kind of "Significant Progress" in reading proficiency did Youens El recently celebrate for the 2025–2026 school year?
Ans. Our most recent growth data shows that with targeted help, our students are learning advanced literacy skills faster than ever.
Q4. How does Youens El get parents in the area to help their elementary-aged children grow socially and emotionally?
Ans. We hold "Family Heart" workshops where parents learn ways to help their kids be strong and talk to them in a positive way every day at home.
Q5. Are there any student-run clubs at Youens El that are all about staying fit or living a healthy lifestyle?
Ans. Our "Gator Grit" fitness club meets once a week to do yoga and play team sports, which helps people stay active for the rest of their lives.
