People are talking about Woodson School because it does well with the New Education System (NES) model, which helps students learn faster and offers specialized fine arts dyads. Recently, a lot of students joined the school's new extracurricular clubs, such as photography and martial arts. Also, the campus is still seeing a lot of improvement in student literacy scores since it last tried to make academics better.
Q1. How does the "Accelerated Learning" model at Woodson School change the way things are done in the classroom on a daily basis?
Ans. Students finish their core classes faster, which gives them more time for "Dyads" in creative fields like martial arts and photography.
Q2. Are there any "Fine Arts Dyads" at Woodson School where kids can try new things?
Ans. During the regular school day, our students can choose from a number of creative activities, such as acting and working with digital media.
Q3. What new "Academic Intervention" programs have helped kids at Woodson School get better at reading?
Ans. We have "Reading Power Hours," when students work in small groups to get a lot of help learning advanced reading skills faster.
Q4. What does Woodson School do to make sure that its K–8 students learn good character and leadership skills on their own?
Ans. Our "Leadership Academy" lets middle school students help younger students. This teaches them to be responsible and treat everyone on campus with respect.
Q5. Are there any special areas at Woodson School where kids can do digital art or creative photography?
Ans. Our "Media Lab" has new cameras and editing software that let each student work on their digital creativity in a professional setting.
