Being Updated
Wilchester Elementary has named Stephanie Walton Teacher of the Year for 2025 because she cares so much about her students. The school is still doing well with its goals for college readiness and technology, and students are participating in the district's "Character Without Question" awards, which are very important. The campus also changed the times for 2026's dismissal to make sure that all families have a safer and easier commute.
Q1. How does Wilchester El honor teachers like Stephanie Walton who go above and beyond for their students?
Ans. Every year, we hold a "Teacher of the Year" gala where everyone in the community comes together to honor our most creative and helpful teachers.
Q2. Does Wilchester El have any special programs for students who are honest and good leaders?
Ans. Our "Character Without Question" awards go to students who consistently live by our core values and lead their peers with honesty and integrity.
Q3. What kinds of "Technical and College Readiness" goals are most important at Wilchester El this year?
Ans. We work on building "T-2-4" skills so that our students are ready for any path they choose, whether it's technical school or college.
Q4. How has the change to Wilchester El's dismissal times made it safer for local families?
Ans. The new staggered schedule has made traffic less congested, making it safer and easier for our students and parents to get to and from school.
Q5. Are there any student-run clubs at Wilchester El that help the community or local Houston charities?
Ans. The "Wildcat Helpers" club plans service projects once a month to teach our students how important it is to give back to their community.
Note: Schedules may change during school holidays. Please contact School for exact Schedule.
