Whittier Elementary is happy with how well its recent workshops for student leaders went. Students get the skills they need to be active members of the school's culture in these workshops. The school recently made public its data on academic success for the years 2025–2026. It shows that kids in all primary grades are getting better at reading. People are also praising the campus for its strong fine arts program and its commitment to helping students grow in all areas.
Q1. How do the student leadership workshops at Whittier El help students change the culture at their school?
Ans. Students learn how to lead meetings and share their thoughts, which helps them take an active role in planning events and spirit weeks.
Q2. Does Whittier El offer any special help to fifth graders who are getting ready to move up to middle school?
Ans. We have workshops on time management and study habits as part of our "Moving Up" program to make sure that every student is ready for high school.
Q3. What kinds of "Vibrant Fine Arts" activities are available for students at the Whittier El campus right now?
Ans. Students can try out different types of art, from digital design to choral music, so that every child can find a creative outlet that they enjoy.
Q4. How does Whittier El use the most recent data on student academic performance to give each student personalized help?
Ans. We give each child a "Personalized Learning Path" so that teachers can focus on the areas where they need extra help.
Q5. Are there any programs at Whittier El that focus on building empathy and respect?
Ans. Our "Kindness Crew" runs programs all over campus that reward students every day for being nice and helpful to their teachers and classmates.
