Being Updated
Even though Varnett Charter School is still open, it is still focused on keeping students stable and teachers on staff. The school recently held its yearly community wellness events to help families with both their academic and social-emotional health. The school has also added more extracurricular activities, like coding and robotics, to help elementary school kids get ready for STEM careers in the future.
Q1. What does the "Breath of Fresh AIR" program at Varnett Charter School do to encourage students to be responsible at the Southwest campus?
Ans. This program teaches our students about accountability and honesty, helping them take responsibility for their academic and social choices.
Q2. Does Varnett Charter School have any special after-school clubs for kids who want to learn about computers early on?
Ans. We have a "Robotics and Coding" club every week where students make simple machines and learn the basics of digital logic.
Q3. How does Varnett Charter School keep its teachers from leaving so that its students can stay stable in their studies?
Ans. We put a lot of value on professional growth and a supportive work environment, which helps our teachers build long-term relationships with their students.
Q4. What kinds of resources for community health does Varnett Charter School give families during the school year?
Ans. Our yearly "Wellness Fair" brings parents together with local healthcare providers and has workshops for kids on nutrition and mental health.
Q5. Are there any special awards for students at Varnett Charter School who do really well in math?
Ans. Every nine weeks, we hold "Math Master" ceremonies to honor the students who have made the most progress toward their math goals.
