Being Updated
Tice Elementary School recently started a "Kindness Initiative" for all of its students. Students get rewards for being nice to their teachers and classmates. The most recent academic growth data showed that students' reading skills had improved a lot over the last semester, so the campus celebrated. To honor the different cultural backgrounds of its students, the school also held a successful "Global Citizens Parade."
Q1. How does the "Kindness Initiative" at Tice El encourage students to be more compassionate toward each other?
Ans. We reward students with "Kindness Coins" for positive actions, which they can use for fun campus-wide group rewards.
Q2. What was the "Global Citizens Parade" at Tice El like for the students and local families?
Ans. It was a vibrant celebration where students proudly wore traditional dress to honor their diverse heritages and cultural backgrounds.
Q3. Does Tice El offer any specific support for students who are currently struggling with their reading levels?
Ans. We have dedicated literacy coaches who provide small-group support to help every student reach their full reading potential.
Q4. How does Tice El involve the local Galena Park community in its school-wide academic goal setting?
