Parents and kids worked together on science experiments and engineering problems at Stuchbery Elementary School's annual "Family STEM Night" last week. The school is also celebrating its high ranking in district-wide attendance goals, which shows that the campus has a lot of spirit and students are very involved. The community also gave the campus money to make its outdoor learning and garden areas better.
Q1. How does Stuchbery El mark important milestones for students, like the 100th day of school?
Ans. We have "Smart Cookie" parties where we honor all of the students for their hard work and progress in school.
Q2. What kinds of help are available for students at Stuchbery El who are having trouble making friends?
Ans. Our dedicated counselors help students deal with their feelings and make strong friendships through small-group sessions and "Peace Corners."
Q3. Does Stuchbery El have a program in place to honor staff members who go above and beyond?
Ans. Students write "Appreciation Notes" to their teachers, which helps create an environment of gratitude and respect on campus.
Q4. How does Stuchbery El make sure that students with special needs are fully involved in campus life?
Ans. We put individualized accommodations and activities that everyone can do first so that all students can take part in school-wide events and learning.
Q5. Do Stuchbery El's annual community events bring families and neighbors together?
Ans. Our school has a long history of hosting carnivals and seasonal festivals that bring the community together.
