Being Updated
Stephens Elementary School is honoring its 2025–2026 campus leaders and students who did very well on early literacy tests. The school recently held a "Community Spirit Day" to bring together students and businesses from the area. The campus is also getting new teaching tools that are supposed to help students catch up on their work and become leaders.
Q1. What kinds of student-led clubs at Stephens El help kids learn how to be leaders and speak in front of groups?
Ans. Students can join the "Bulldog Ambassadors" to get better at speaking in front of groups at school events and leading other students in activities on campus.
Q2. Does Stephens El provide any special help for students who are learning English as a second language?
Ans. Our ESL specialists hold small group sessions that are focused on helping students learn academic vocabulary and feel good about their daily lessons.
Q3. How does Stephens El get the community involved in its annual career day and workshops for students?
Ans. We work with local business owners and professionals who come to share their knowledge and motivate our young scholars.
Q4. Do Stephens El students have a chance to join competitive academic teams, like a Math Club?
Ans. Our "Math Olympiad" team meets once a week to work on hard puzzles and competes in academic challenges across the district every spring.
Q5. If parents at Stephens El don't use social media, how can they stay up to date on school-wide emergencies?
Ans. The district uses an automated system for calls and texts to make sure that every family gets important safety information directly.
