Being Updated
The Southwest Schools Bissonnet Elementary Campus is celebrating its college-readiness milestones for the years 2025–2026. Students are participating in "College Days" on campus to help them set academic goals early on. The school is still known for its personalized learning plans, which make sure that every student gets the help they need to do well in school.
Q1. What does Southwest Schools Bissonnet do to make sure that elementary school students are "college ready"?
Ans. Each classroom chooses a university, and students look into those schools to get an idea of what they want to do with their lives and their careers.
Q2. Does Southwest Schools Bissonnet have any special programs for building character, like "Positive Action"?
Ans. We have a daily character-building program that teaches kids about being honest, self-control, and helping others.
Q3. Do Southwest Schools Bissonnet offer English or computer literacy classes for parents?
Ans. Our community center has evening classes for adults to help parents learn skills that will help their families and their jobs.
Q4. For families who would rather get information on paper than through digital apps, how does Southwest Schools Bissonnet handle communication across the whole school?
Ans. Every week, we send home a "Tuesday Folder" with all the important papers, permission slips, and graded work from students.
Q5. Is there a "Student of the Month" program at Southwest Schools Bissonnet that rewards students for doing better in school and behaving better?
Ans. Yes, each month we choose one student from each class who has shown great growth or leadership skills.
Note: Schedules may change during school holidays. Please contact School for exact Schedule.
