Being Updated
The "New Education System" (NES) model is working well at Southeast Elementary. It gives students more chances to learn about the arts and do other things outside of school. The school recently held a "Showcase of Learning" to mark the end of the first semester of the 2025–2026 school year. The students put on plays and music for the community.
Q1. What makes the "Art Dyad" program at Southeast El different from a regular elementary art class?
Ans. Our Dyad program lets you go deeper into certain art forms, like pottery or photography, with the help of community instructors who are experts in those fields.
Q2. Does Southeast El offer any special tutoring sessions for students who need to get ready for state-mandated tests?
Ans. We have "Saturday Success" sessions and "Power Hours" after school to help kids get better at math and reading.
Q3. Are there any student leadership programs at Southeast El that work on improving the look of the campus or painting murals?
Ans. The "Campus Pride" club lets students paint and design murals that show off the values and culture of our school.
Q4. How does Southeast El make sure that all of its students can get high-quality books in their native language?
Ans. Our library has a lot of bilingual books and lets students check out digital e-books any time of day or night.
Q5. Are there any special events in Southeast El to mark the move of fifth graders to middle school?
Ans. To honor our graduates as they move on to middle school, we have a "Moving Up" ceremony and a party.
Note: Schedules may change during school holidays. Please contact School for exact Schedule.
