Being Updated
Ser-Ninos Charter El II (Dashwood Campus) is happy that more and more students are coming to the school and that its special dual-language immersion program for young elementary school students is working well. The school recently held an open house for the community to show off its unique way of teaching and how well it has helped its students feel proud of their culture.
Q1. How does Ser-Ninos Charter El Ii help parents who don't speak English well at school meetings?
Ans. We make sure that all parents feel included and heard at every meeting by providing professional translation headsets and bilingual staff.
Q2. Does Ser-Ninos Charter El II have any special summer bridge programs for kids who are going into Pre-K or Kindergarten?
Ans. Yes, we have a "Ready, Set, Learn" summer session to help our youngest students get used to the routines of a bilingual classroom early on.
Q3. Can students at Ser-Ninos Charter El II do community service projects during the regular school year?
Ans. Students often organize food drives and neighborhood clean-up days to help people feel proud of their community and responsible for it.
Q4. How do families apply for sibling priority enrollment at Ser-Ninos Charter El Ii?
Ans. During the open enrollment period, families can fill out a sibling preference form to keep their kids together at the same campus.
Q5. Are there any quiet areas at Ser-Ninos Charter El II where students can practice mindfulness or quiet reflection?
Ans. There is a "Peace Corner" on our campus where students can go to do breathing exercises and get their minds back on track during the day.
