Being Updated
For the 2025–2026 school year, Sanchez Elementary is starting a new Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) to get more families involved and get more people to come to events on campus. The school has made a strict "Action Plan" that includes weekly Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) where teachers use peer-modeled teaching methods to help students get better at reading and math.
Q1. How does Sanchez El get parents to join the new Parent Teacher Organization this year?
Ans. We invite all families to our monthly "Coffee with the Principal" to sign up for different ways to help out on campus.
Q2. Does Sanchez El offer any special after-school tutoring for students who need extra help with reading and writing in two languages?
Ans. Our "Tiger Tutors" program gives each child the help they need in both English and Spanish in small groups.
Q3. What kinds of hands-on STEM activities are included in the Sanchez El science curriculum for older students?
Ans. On "Innovation Friday," fifth graders build simple machines and do experiments in our campus science lab.
Q4. Are there any music or performing arts classes that students at Sanchez El can take right now?
Ans. Students like their weekly music classes, and they can also join our campus choir to sing at local festivals and events.
Q5. What does Sanchez El do to keep students safe when they arrive in the morning and leave in the afternoon?
Ans. We have a safe, staff-monitored car-rider line and a special "Walking School Bus" for students who live on nearby streets.
Note: Schedules may change during school holidays. Please contact School for exact Schedule.
