Rees El is now honoring its "Excellence in Action" teachers, who were honored during Alief ISD's spring ceremonies to thank teachers. The school is now taking applications from new students for the next school year. This shows how important it is to give every young student a lot of options for what to do in the future. Recently, the community worked together to put on successful events that brought in new library and tech resources for students of all ages.
Q1. Are there any bilingual or dual-language programs at Rees Elementary?
Ans. The school offers a full bilingual program so that students can learn both English and Spanish fluently every day.
Q2. How do you report an absence at Rees Elementary School?
Ans. By 9.00 AM, parents should call the attendance office and send a note when the child gets back.
Q3. Is there a full-time counselor at Rees Elementary to help students?
Ans. During school hours, a professional counselor is on site to give all students social-emotional lessons and one-on-one help.
Q4. Are there any yearly family events at Rees Elementary, like a fall festival?
Ans. To help families and staff get to know each other better, the school hosts a number of community events each year.
Q5. Are students allowed to sing in any choirs or play music at Rees Elementary?
Ans. Students take music lessons once a week and play in seasonal concerts for the local school community.
