Magnet Schools of America recently gave Reed Academy a National Merit Award for having great engineering and technology programs. The newest group of "Reed Rockets" is being celebrated on campus. This spring, they did very well at the regional science and engineering fair. Teachers are currently setting up new "Discovery Rotations" so that every student can learn digital economy skills by doing things themselves.
Q1. Does Reed Academy have a special program for students who want to study drama?
Ans. The academy is a Fine Arts Magnet, so it offers theater and performance classes for students of all ages.
Q2. What are the rules for checking out books at the Reed Academy library for students?
Ans. Students go to the library once a week and can check out up to two books to help them read more at home.
Q3. Does Reed Academy offer any help for students who have dyslexia?
Ans. The school has literacy coaches who work with students who have different reading problems and give them targeted multisensory instruction.
Q4. Does Reed Academy have any yearly art or science shows?
Ans. Every year, the campus has exhibitions where students show off their creative work and scientific discoveries to their parents and peers.
Q5. What does Reed Academy do to keep students safe when they leave in the afternoon?
Ans. A structured tag system is used for bus and car riders to make sure that every student is picked up by the right person.
