Pleasantville El recently said that they had made a lot of progress in their academics and had moved up in the district-wide performance rankings because they had focused on doing well in core subjects. The campus is a busy place where students learn how to be good people and do well in school at the same time. This gives them power every day. Updates from the leaders stress the new 2026 goals for students to be good at reading and math so they can do well in high school.
Q1. What are the rules at Pleasantville Elementary School about students using their cell phones?
Ans. To keep kids from being distracted in class, they need to keep their phones off and in their backpacks during the school day.
Q2. Is there an active Parent Teacher Association (PTA) at Pleasantville Elementary that families can join?
Ans. Yes, the school has an active PTA that plans events and raises money to help with different projects on campus.
Q3. Do they offer any foreign language classes as electives at Pleasantville Elementary?
Ans. The curriculum includes basic Spanish lessons to help students learn how to communicate and understand other cultures from PK.
Q4. How does Pleasantville Elementary take care of students' health and give them medicine during the school day?
Ans. A certified school nurse is in charge of all medical needs and gives out prescribed medications with the right permission from the parent and doctor.
