Patterson El is still a great place to study literature and the fine arts. Not long ago, it held a "Young Authors" event to honor stories written by students. The school's intensive instructional recovery plan has led to big, measurable improvements in state proficiency scores this spring. A lot of students want to join new after-school clubs that focus on making music and digital media, according to the leaders.

Ans. Yes, it is a Literature Magnet school, which means that it puts a lot of emphasis on creative writing and advanced reading skills in all grades.
Q2. What kinds of library materials do students at Patterson Elementary have access to?
Ans. The library has a lot of different books and digital databases to help the school focus on literacy.
Q3. Does Patterson Elementary School have any writing contests every year?
Ans. Students take part in "Young Author" contests all over campus, where their original stories are published and put on display in the hallways.
Q4. Does Patterson Elementary have a garden or outdoor classroom?
Ans. The school has a "Reading Garden" where classes can go outside to read and do nature-based learning activities.
Q5. How does Patterson Elementary help students who have trouble reading or have dyslexia?
Ans. Specialized literacy coaches work with one person or a small group at a time to help them become strong, confident readers through multisensory instruction.
